FCHS is a privately run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID 43-1244655, dedicated to serving the homeless, abandoned, and lost dogs and cats in our area. We incorporated in 1981 and operated as a foster network for homeless pets for 13 years. In 1994, we opened our current shelter location in Union, Missouri.

Begging in the Streets- Saturday, September 23rd 2023 in Washington, Missouri
UPDATE: We collected $4, 701.79 during our Begging in the Streets event on Sep. 23rd!!! We can’t thank our volunteers and donors enough for making this a wonderful event.

Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters Reduced Adoption Fees July 6th-July 31st, 2023
UPDATE: We adopted out 65 cats and 20 dogs!!! Thank you to our adopters, staff, volunteers, and the Bissell Pet Foundation for making this possible!

Free Vaccine Event Saturday, May 20th, 9-1, Union Fire Station #1, 1401 West Springfield Ave.
