FCHS is a privately run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, tax ID 43-1244655, dedicated to serving the homeless, abandoned, and lost dogs and cats in our area. We incorporated in 1981 and operated as a foster network for homeless pets for 13 years. In 1994, we opened our current shelter location in Union, Missouri.

Begging in the Streets- Saturday, Sept 28, 2024 8am-6pm in Washington, Missouri
Volunteers will be collecting monetary donations from passing motorists on Saturday, Sept 28th at the intersection of Fifth and Jefferson Streets in Washington, Missouri. We are still needing volunteers to sign up for 2 hour shifts. Volunteers MUST be 17
BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelter reduced adoption fee event! July 8th thru July 31st
We are partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation during their Empty the Shelters event to offer all dogs 6 months and older at reduced adoption fee of $50. All cats/kittens will be offered for adoption at a reduced fee of only

FCHS is partnering with national nonprofit Petco Love to give pets their best shot for a healthy life by hosting a free pet vaccine event on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm at the Union Fire Station
