We are deeply saddened by the City of Washington’s decision to no longer allow street coin collections at 5th and Jefferson.

For years, these events have been an important source of support for Franklin County Humane Society, raising approximately $12,000 annually between our two scheduled collections. Those funds directly help provide care for the animals in our shelter and support programs that keep pets with the families who love them.

The loss of these events creates a significant funding gap, and we need our community’s support now more than ever.

As we work to develop an alternative fundraising plan, we ask you to please consider supporting one of our upcoming events or making a donation to help us continue this lifesaving work. Every dollar makes a difference for the orphaned animals in our care and the people who rely on our services.

We remain committed to our mission, and with the support of our community, we will continue fighting for the animals who need us most.
