Low-Income Pet Food Pantry and Straw
Often we receive donations of pet food that do not fit the veterinary prescribed dietary needs of the pets in our care. Excess pet food donations are used to stock our Low-Income Pet Food Pantry. Families who have a household income of less than $30,000 a year can access the pantry. Please bring proof of your income to the shelter. We accept W-2 forms, food stamp cards, Medicaid cards, or two paycheck stubs as proof. You will be asked to sign in to use the pantry and access is limited to one visit every two weeks. The pantry is available during regular business hours. OpSPOT provides our shelter with straw during the winter months to help owners keep their outdoor pets warm. Visit the shelter during business hours to pick up free straw for your pet.
