The BISSELL Pet Foundation is helping shelters across the country by sponsoring reduced adoption fees, and Franklin County Humane Society is proud to take part. From December 1 through December 15, 2025, you can make a life-changing difference for an orphaned pet and welcome a new companion into your home for a special holiday rate.
FCHS will participate December 1–15 at 1222 West Main Street, Union, offering $50 adoption fees for dogs 4 months and older. Adoption fees for all cats and kittens are $25, and adopters can take home a second cat or kitten for free.
To make it easier to adopt this season, we are extending our hours by opening on Sunday, December 7, from 12 pm to 3 pm for adoptions only.
Regular business hours are:
• Monday 11 am – 6 pm
• Closed Tuesday
• Wednesday – Thursday 11 am – 6 pm
• Friday – Saturday 11 am – 4 pm
Our adoptable cats housed at Petco and PetSmart in Washington, MO, as well as Petsense in Sullivan, Union, and Eureka, are also eligible for the $25 reduced adoption fee.
Every adoption includes our standard FCHS preparation services: spay or neuter surgery, microchip and registration, health testing, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and flea and tick treatment.
